Paul is our MD, Founder and all round Playground Markings guru. Paul founded Uniplay back in 2008 after seeing a gap in the market to create innovative graphics that pushed the boundaries of thermoplastic design. Having worked as an install team leader for many years, there was very little he didn’t know about the installation aspect of thermoplastic and wanted to use this knowledge to create graphics that were not only inspirational but also looked amazing….Uniplay was born! Paul has remained the driving force behind the growth of Uniplay and still very much has a hands-on approach. He is often out and about meeting schools and surveying playgrounds and still gets drafted in to install when needed…although he’s reluctant to tell anyone he’s just met he is in fact the boss! Over the years Uniplay have done many fundraising drives for a variety of charities, these are usually Paul’s idea. He is always the instigator into new ways to raise money for charity and not afraid to chuck himself out of a plane or climb mountains to do it. When he’s not fine tuning the Uniplay operation, he’s busy running around after his 3 children, trying to convince them to support his beloved Burnley FC (2 out of 3 are having none of it), and going on family breaks.
Operations Director Kevin looks after all things production and installation. An avid Manchester City season ticket holder, Kevin travels the length and breadth of the country overseeing our installation teams (and following City!) and ensuring every project is completed to the Uniplay standard. The keen fisherman is a stickler for detail and is constantly looking at ways to improve our operation and streamline our processes. Kevin is happiest when he’s onsite or surveying playgrounds. He enjoys chatting with customers and hearing the feedback for our installation guys. When not working, Kevin will be at home chasing around the garden after his young son.
Victoria has been a full time addition to #TeamUniplay since 2015 and is our Sales & Marketing Director. Her wealth of knowledge and experience within the education sector makes her the main point of contact for information and advice for both colleagues and customers alike. Within Uni-Play her responsibilities range from marketing and sales, through to office manager, to general guru answering everyone’s questions from the sublime to the ridiculous! She keeps the team working together in the same direction and always with a smile on her face! When not in work, Victoria is normally taking her daughters to and from clubs and sports teams. She loves holidays abroad and camping with her family.
Nici is our HR Manager and the newest recruit to #TeamUniplay. Nici has brought a sense of calm and order to the Uniplay office. Despite living in Lancashire for 12 years she is still perplexed by some of the local lingo! Keeping us on the straight and narrow and making sure we’re all looked after, Nici is always there to help and advise all members of our team. When Nici isn’t keeping us in line, she’s having fun with her two young children, as well as catching up with friends and regular trips back to see family in Scotland.
Alex is our office administrator and looks after our customers from the word go. If you need a quote or to discuss a proposal, Alex is knowledgeable and professional. Out of work, Alex is usually chasing after her little boy.
Stephen is responsible for cutting all the playground marking graphics, ensuring all materials are ready for installation and generally over seeing the running of the warehouse.
Paul, or Arnie as he is probably better known, is Uniplay's longest serving employee. Arnie has many years of installation experience and takes care of playground inspections. When Paul isn't running after his young children, he can often be found in the gym pumping iron or eating chicken.
Jake is the youngest of our Installation Team Leaders and is always happy in his work. The feedback we receive from the jobs Jake has worked on is exemplary and he loves meeting new schools. If he’s not installing, Jake may visit your school to survey the area and chat with you about your requirements before proceeding to order. Jake loves to get involved in larger, more intricate projects and always strives to go the extra mile. He’s a great addition to our team and nothing is ever too much trouble. When Jake isn’t making playgrounds look amazing, he’s keen to travel spend time with his friends and family or hit the gym.
Graham is a trusted senior member of our team and has been with Uni-Play for years. In his spare time Graham likes gaming and spending time with family.
John is a thermoplastic professional with over 15 years experience of creating playground markings. John is predominantly in our warehouse, ensuring jobs are cut and packed for our installation teams. During peak times John likes to dust off his high vis and can often be found joining the installation teams.
