Uniplay has carried out installations outside the UK, including a street safety project in Ubrique, a white hillside town in the Serrania de Ronda mountains of Cadiz province in Andalucia, Spain. We worked there with our client Let's Play Espana, which the town council had asked to look at a number of playground and school developments.

The town's steep, narrow cobbled streets had become so polished that vehicles struggled to use them, which was stopping council services such as refuse collections. Together with Let's Play Espana we proposed PlastiRoute RollGrip, a liquid, roll-able, solvent-free marking material that cures to form a permanent anti-slip area coating with high durability. The council instructed us to carry out the work, and the road was closed for a day while our team installed it. At the council's request we also renewed several zebra crossings in the town with anti-slip, reflective thermoplastic, keeping disruption to a minimum.
