The Welcome Sign Language is a thermoplastic playground marking spelling the word welcome. Each of the seven letters is shown as a pair of hands making the British Sign Language sign, with the matching letter in a coloured circle below. The marking measures 3.5m by 0.6m. Children copy the hand shapes to fingerspell a greeting and learn sign language.
