In the summer term we had the pleasure of working with Roe Lee Primary School in Blackburn to increase the activity levels of their children.
Roe Lee is a larger than average Primary School in Blackburn and during our first meeting we met with the school sports ambassadors to learn what was important to them as a school.
The children were very clear and discussed how they wanted to their new playground markings to encourage greater activity levels whilst making playtimes fun. The children identified that many of their peers would spend their breaks doing very little and they wanted the thermoplastic playground markings to ensure children were active for at least the recommended 30 minutes a day during school time.
Uniplay drew up scale visuals for the staff and children to consider, and within a few tweaks the final plans were reached. Within weeks, the school playground markings were installed. The children and staff at Roe Lee are delighted with the finished results and have noted that the playground markings are introducing even the least active children to sport and physical activity at break times.
