Creative ways to spend Sports Premium Funding 2020

Earlier in the year the Department for Education announced Sports Premium funding will continue throughout the 2020/21 academic year, with any remaining budget from the previous year available to be carried over.

However, for many schools this poses a difficult question of how to spend the funding in the best possible way. We understand schools are looking to create the best possible opportunities for their pupils in terms of sports and PE development.  As the guidelines of the funding state any additional improvements must be for the provision of PE and sport, schools are looking for the most creative and innovative ways to implement this funding for their primary school-aged pupils.

At Uni-Play we provide a huge range of thermoplastic markings which are focused on improving activity levels and helping children to live healthy lifestyles. Our specialist markings fall under the Sports Premium category, therefore are often utilised by Primary Schools as part of their physical activity objectives.

Our markings can also be implemented alongside other sports facilities including thermoplastic sports court markings, therefore the schools we work with are able to provide creative solutions for their pupils to increase activity levels.

Benefits of using Sports Premium for Playground Markings

There are a huge range of benefits to implementing playground markings for primary school aged children including:

  • Helping children to develop positive mindsets to physical activity
  • Improving key social skills and encouraging interaction and group play
  • Implementing further learning from the classroom during break times
  • Creating more sporting opportunity and inclusivity for children of all ages
  • Encouraging children to engage in increased levels of physical activity on a daily basis

As we have a huge range of playground markings, we have something to suit each age group, which is one of the guidelines for Sports Premium funding. Our experienced team are able to design and implement playground markings which will capture the interest of your pupils and help them to be more active on a daily basis.

We are also able to remove existing playground markings where required. Once installed our thermoplastic markings can be used within 30 minutes, ensuring your pupils are being active in no time!
