The Daily Mile Initiative was created to improve the physical activity of Primary School aged children. The programme works directly with schools and nurseries to reduce childhood obesity by encouraging physical activity during breaktimes.
As part of this campaign, Mile a Day playground tracks and designs have been introduced by schools, helping children to achieve the distance during the school day. These creative tracks can encompass a huge range of themes and topics, helping children to increase their activity levels without having to think about it.
At UniPlay we design and install Mile a Day markings for schools throughout the UK, assisting them with their goals to improve physical activity and reduce obesity at their school. We combine our Mile a Day designs with other creative and educational playground markings to create a bespoke playground experience for each school.
There are over 10,000 schools and nurseries throughout the world taking part in the Daily Mile challenge, so why not join in? More information can be found via www.thedailymile.co.uk.
