Highway Thermoplastic Markings vs. Line Paint

One of the most common questions we are asked by our clients are the benefits of using thermoplastic highway markings over traditional line painting. As specialists in thermoplastic markings, often discuss the positives of using more modern methods of road marking, over line painting.

Line paint is a more traditional method of making highway markings, however in recent years this has been overtaken by pre-formed thermoplastic markings. Due to line paintโ€™s fluidity, errors can easily occur, which can be difficult to remove. However, pre-formed thermoplastic can be applied easily to the ground, with little room for errors when the area is properly measured.

Although line markings have been used for many years, local councils are now looking to install more durable, reflective and efficient road markings. Thermoplastic is also easy to mould into different shapes and lines, which is done at our headquarters rather than onsite.

Thermoplastic markings can also be installed extremely easily, with the area available for use within 30 minutes of application. This minimal disruption is another reason why thermoplastic markings are quickly becoming the favoured option for large highway projects with numerous different types of road markings.

Overall our clients find that working with thermoplastic highway markings provide more reliability and efficiency in terms of the quality of the markings and the installation process.

Our thermoplastic highway markings

At UniPlay we specialise in providing durable thermoplastic markings for highways, roadways and car parks. Our environmentally conscious thermoplastic markings provide a long-term solution where reflective markings are required.

We work with businesses, local councils and large organisations to remove existing markings and apply new, vibrant, safe highway markings to improve road safety for drivers and pedestrians.

Our team have worked on a huge variety of projects, from private car parks through to large highway projects where there has been a requirement for modern, reliable markings which will withstand high traffic and footfall.

We have a huge range of examples of highway markings we can create available to view via our website. When working with each client we create a bespoke design to showcase how the markings will fit within the road layout and any questions can be answered properly.
