In July 2020 the UK government announced that PE and Sports Premium Funding would be continuing at the rate of ยฃ230 million throughout the 2020-2021 academic year. In addition, due to the COVID-19 pandemic, schools are also able to use any unspent budget from the previous academic year.
This boost in Sports Premium Funding means Primary Schools throughout the UK are able to continue encouraging their pupils to be active during breaktimes, play together in groups and develop key social skills.
Recent months have taken a toll on our clients and therefore we are extremely pleased they are able to continue to utilise Sports Premium funding for the next academic year. This now means that their pupils will be able to benefit from new sports and activity-focused supplies and facilities.
Our Thermoplastic Playground Markings for Primary Schools
At UniPlay we are passionate about working with schools throughout the UK, designing their playgrounds to create unique experiences for children of all ages.
Many of the Primary Schools we work with are able to allocate Sports Premium funding to cover the costs of our playground markings. Therefore, our clients have welcomed recent announcements that funding will continue, and any budget not spent due to recent circumstances can be used during the coming academic year.
Many of our clients are using Sports Premium to make new plans and designs for their pupils, including them in the design process and creating a playground experience to encourage physical activity and socialising.
We are also installing many playground markings to assist with social distancing whilst also providing creative and active play options for children of all ages. Rather than using traditional one-way and 2-meter markings many of our schools are using more creative markings which assist staffing teams with social distancing for groups on the playground.
