Teaching road safety is extremely important at all ages, with children at a major risk of road traffic incidents if they aren’t taught properly. All of these websites and organisations provide extensive advice on how to teach children of varying ages how to be safe around road traffic.

However, alongside working Road Safety teaching into the classroom, there are also other creative ways to ensure your pupils understand how to be safe surrounding roads.

Encouraging road safety outside the classroom

Following on from classroom learning it is important to encourage children to continue to practice road safety awareness. Helping children to understand the practicalities of road safety ensures they understand how to implement their learning outside the classroom.
