Whilst most of you were enjoying a relaxing Bank Holiday last Monday, our very own Paul joined by Paul Johnson of PJ Performance & Fitness were going all out competing in Hyrox London.
Hyrox is taking the fitness world by storm. The race was inspired by millions of athletes around the world who consider functional fitness as their sport of choice. Until now there was no measurable fitness race for everybody.
Hyrox is the ultimate challenge, a perfect combination between strength, endurance and determination. The event sees participants take on 8x 1km runs and 8 functional workouts, testing both strength and endurance.
They both performed exceptionally well with our Paul Riley finishing in an unreal 1 hour 25 minutes!
As with all challenges, there has to be a cause, and the two of them have been fundraising in support of Macmillan Cancer Support. Macmillan is one of the largest British charities and provides specialist health care, information and financial support to people affected by cancer.
Right now, more than 3 million people are living with cancer in the UK, Macmillan aims to help everyone with cancer live life as fully as they can, by providing physical, financial and emotional support. With each of us knowing someone touched by cancer at some point, itโs a charity very close to everyone of us.
Theres still time to donate and spur them on the take on the next physical challenge. #TeamUniplay really would appreciate every penny you could spare for this fantastic cause.
